Coron, Palawan, is Such a Paradise...

We just arrived Busuanga airport.. Well, the best way to reach Coron, Palawan is through Busuanga. And from here, you still have to take a ride by land for an hour or two i think, to get to Coron town proper. And when you get there, there's already a lot of resorts to choose from..

After taking a rest at the resort, it's time to go island hopping! A big bangka (boat) goes well for big families!

Nice limestone cliffs right?..

First stop, Kayangan Lake.. It is said to be the cleanest Lake in the Philippines.. Too bad the kids will have to stay in the bangka.. 'coz from here, you'll have to take a hike on the muddy and slippery stone steps uphill and downhill 'til you reach the Lake... You'll see a lot of trees along the way.. It's like passing through a forest..

Finally, all the exhaustion of the climb will fade away when you see the lake.. Time for a quick dip on the clear water! The water in this lake is a mixture of salty and fresh water.. It is surrounded by huge limestone cliffs and rock formations..
After the soothing swim, off again for a hike back to the bangka...

Second stop, Twin Lagoon.. Here, you need to pass through a narrow opening in the cliff to get to the other side of the lagoon. The twin lagoon is filled with friendly cold, salty water. They say that going through it is like moving to another world..

Next stop, we "parked" our boat around 100 to 150 meters from the shore of the other island.. It's fun to jump here from the boat to have a swim!

On our way to Malcapuya island, we saw a fisherman and he sold us the fishes the he got! Buying fish in the middle of the sea is way much cheaper than in the market! And, fun too! Guaranteed fresh right off the hook! :)

When you visit Coron Palawan, make sure that you'll visit Malcapuya Island and Banana Island.. If you're the type that loves night life, well, Boracay is the place for you.. But if you're looking for a nice beach for vacation with your family or friends, then you should go to Coron, Palawan. The water is way much cleaner and clearer and believe it or not, the sand in Malcapuya and Banana Island is also very fine and "powdery" like the ones in Boracay..

Snorkeling is also one of the fun activities that you can enjoy here in Coron. I think its only 10 to 15 feet deep here but as you can see there are already a lot of fish so you don't need to swim far away from the shore..

The islands are like a paradise.. Such a very memorable experience! We'll surely go back to this place!

missing them...

my kids, joshua and joaquin, left this morning with my mom to visit their cousin ien, ninang lou and ninong bong and to attend a birthday party as well.. Josh said he misses his cousin ien already... i just hope they don't fight today.. i don't know yet if they're gonna spend the night there...

they only left this morning but it feels like they've been gone for a long time already.. well, it's really hard for a mom to be away with her kids even for just a short time... but anyways, maybe i'll be there too by tomorrow... hope it stops raining soon....
